rewrite essay

Dear host family,
Hi there! I'm going to take part in the homestay program in Toronto and spend this summer with you, so I'm looking forward to seeing you. I receive your profile from a Kumamoto Study Abroad Company.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Ruka. I'm a 1st-year student at KGU and majoring in English. I'm 19 years old and I'm from Kumamoto, Japan. I can speak Japanese and simple English but I started to learn basic French when I came to university. I like to play basketball, play the Japansese traditional drums, and go to some fashionable cafes or restaurants. I also love listening to foreign songs and singing them at karaoke. I don't know, whether there is any karaoke in Canada, but it's where we sing a popular song while a karaoke machine plays the music to the song without the words. I often sing Ke$ha, Rehanna and Maroon5' s songs. I work part-time as a waitress at a steak restaurant and as a cook at a dining restaurant. Although the cuisine is expensive, it's so yummy. I really enjoy working! I live with my mother and I have my grandparents and my great grandmother. All of them always helps me as much as they can.
I have a few questions for you. I know there are five members  in your family: Ann is the grandmother, Sara is the mother, Adam is the father, Patty is the daughter and Reed is the son. When I first saw your pictures, I felt relieved because all of you looked so kind. I'd like to know what your hobbies are, can you share them with me? What is it like where you live? What's your favorite food and what do you often eat at home? Where do you go in your holidays? What image do you have of Japan? What do you do? If you have any questions about me, please feel free to ask.
When I was a high school student, there was an exchange student from Canada. At first, she didn't know anything about Japan and she went through many hardships to get along with Japanese students. However, she told us about a variety of Canadian cultural information and she also studied Japanese hard to fit in with us. I was really impressed by her modest attitude and thus I wondered if I go to Canada. About a half year later, I found a scholarship to go to Prince Edward Island in Canada to study English. I wrote an essay in English to get it. Although it was really hard because anybody in Japan had a qualification for joining the program, I won it. It was a nice place and people were very kind. Have you ever been there? After coming back to Japan, I felt I'd like to go to Canada again, and now, my dream will come true soon. I can't wait to go and meet you.
I'd like you to write back to me if you have time. I'm looking forward to my stay.
Sincerely,
Ruka

Christmas!

For me, I have to work for part-time job on Christmas eve and Christmas. That's why, they're ordinary days. There're no plans to get any presents. But I'm going to wear Santa Claus costume on Christmas eve.
If I got any Christmas presents, I'd like to recieve a warm coat because a button on my favorite coat went away and I was really sad.
Each country thinks Christmas in different means. In Japan, his or her surroundings influence on whether they can enjoy Christmas or not these days, I think. If you are a happy child, you can get some  presents from your parents. If you have good friends, you can have a wonderful Christmas party. If you have a nice boy/girlfriend, you can spend on a special night. However, busy or lonely workers have to pass their time working as usual.

Winter Vacation Plans

I'm going to work hard during winter vacation. I have 5 days off. Though I don't still plan to do that concretely, I'm going to Fukuoka to go shopping with my friend from high school. When we were in high school, we belonged to Japanese traditional drums club and we played the same part. When we were second year students, we went to Fukuoka to go shopping during winter vacation and most of the clothes has been very reasonable at that time. That's why we really enjoyed the trip. We haven't got together these days

A Place I Have Visited

Today, I'm going to talk about a place I've visited. I visited Prince Edward Island when I was a high school student. It's located in east coast of Northern America. Mongomery, the author of Anne Of Green Gables,  was born there and there was modeled on its story. There are the model of Anne Of Green Gables' house in the island.
Anne said in the story, "Here's the most beautiful island in the world!" I  remember that she said such a sentence and I thought I wanted to visit there and make sure of it. Then I stayed there about 2 months and went to each famous place.
As I saw many places in PEI,

3 favorite restaurants in Kumamoto

I'm going to introduce 3 favorite restaurants in Kumamoto! I like to find some reasonable and nice restaurants.
First, my friends and I went to Tsurukame, a dining restaurant in downtown on my friend's birthday. We could eat and drink anything we wanted for 2 hours and it cost only 2500 yen! After   eating and drinking to some extent, a birthday song rang, some monitors showed my friend's name and a waiter brought a birthday cake! In addition, all of the dishes were yummy, so I recommend there. It's located in Shimotori Arcade and close to ABC Mart. You should make a reservation.
Second, I like the restaurant where I work as a part-time. It's Steak House Yodogawa. It's located in Kaminoura Street and near Maruko Hotel. It mainly serves beef and abalones grilled on iron plates! Most of the menu were course dishes. I took my family there and ate rich steaks twice and it was so luxurious! However, it's actually so expensive for students that we can't go there many times. That's why, lunch time is much better. It's also good to go there in your boyfriend's or girlfriend's birthday because we serve a special dessert! It needs to make a reservation too.
  Finally,
